Child Safety Standards

Effective October 9, 2026

Scoop has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page explains what we prohibit, how to report it, and what we do when we find it.

1. What is prohibited

Scoop Socials is operated by Scoop Technologies LLC. The following is prohibited everywhere on Scoop, including posts, photos, profiles, events, and messages:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn, edited, or AI-generated imagery.
  • Sexualizing minors in any way, including sexual comments about or toward a minor.
  • Grooming: contacting or befriending a minor to sexually exploit them.
  • Sextortion, and soliciting or trading sexual images of minors.
  • Trafficking minors, or advertising or arranging sexual contact with a minor.
  • Content, links, or events that promote, facilitate, or normalize any of the above.

2. How we protect minors

Scoop is for people 13 and older. If we learn that a user is under 13, we disable and delete the account. Users under 18 cannot use age-restricted features or see adult-only content. Uploaded event photos are checked automatically before they are published. Photos that appear sexual and appear to involve a minor are rejected and sent for admin review.

3. How to report

In the app, report a post or event and choose "Illegal content," or report an event photo and choose "Someone appears to be a minor." Content reported this way is hidden immediately while it is reviewed. You can also email [email protected]; reports about child safety are routed only to our designated child safety contact.

If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number first. You can also report child sexual exploitation directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.

4. How we respond

When we find or are told about apparent CSAE, we:

  • Remove the content from view.
  • Preserve the evidence as the law requires, with access limited to our designated reviewer.
  • Report apparent CSAM to NCMEC's CyberTipline, as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A.
  • Permanently ban the accounts involved.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement requests made through valid legal process.

5. Child safety contact

Our designated point of contact for child safety is Grant Hemingway, Founder, Scoop Technologies LLC. Reach him at [email protected]. Law enforcement can use the same address.
