Delete your account and data
You can delete your Scoop account and associated personal data at any time. Deletion is permanent for normal account access, but some information may be retained where required by law or for safety, compliance, or abuse-prevention purposes.
In the app (recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the Scoop app:
- Open Scoop and go to Settings
- Tap Account
- Tap Delete Account
- Type DELETE to confirm
In-app deletion disables your account immediately and starts the deletion process. Deletion of associated data is completed within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations. Your profile, verified account links, trust profile, posts, connections, uploaded media, and personal data are removed.
By email request
If you no longer have access to the app, email us:

We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days. Include the email address associated with your account to help us locate it.
What gets deleted
- ·Your profile (name, bio, avatar, banner, verified account links)
- ·Your trust profile and trust score
- ·Your posts, comments, and reviews
- ·Your connection and follower data
- ·Your event and journey history
- ·Media you uploaded (avatar, banner, event photos)
- ·Your personal data associated with your account
Reviews and posts written about you by other users may remain visible on the platform with your identifying link removed. Moderation records and aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained as required for safety, compliance, or legal purposes.
